Unvented Cylinder showing signs of rust

That stain has been there before we arrived. So whatever was leaking was repaired long before we turned up. I will definitely check the flooring Though when plumber rips out existing tank.

Unvented Cylinder showing signs of rust

Thanks @ReJect Would it be worth getting the system power flushed when the unit gets replaced, as we had a water softener fitted last year? (Plumber is suggesting RM Stelflow)

Unvented Cylinder showing signs of rust

Thanks for the quick replies guys. @ReJect - How would I put this to the plumber who normally does our work (discharge pipe)? What exactly is the issue, as I'm no plumber :) I'm looking at the cost of the cylinders and they range from £500 (Gledhill) to £1000 for the Worcester Bosch/HEatrae...

Unvented Cylinder showing signs of rust

We have a Range tribune unvented cylinder that is showing signs of rust at the bottom. Only just picked up on it. Been in the property 5 years. The property was built 2004/2005. I understand these units have a 25 year guarantee? But wanted to ask should we swap out as a precaution (as they...

There's two pairs (red / yellow). One pair coming from hallway (Honeywell receiver) and one pair from...

Removing wired thermostat for Drayton Wiser

I'll be honest, I'm not sure. I can test this when I reach home later today. I will double check the other items you queried too. I usually have the Drayton timer set to permanently on for CH (the Honeywell TR6 handles the programming) and timed for HW. The Honeywell TR6 Thermostat module...

Removing wired thermostat for Drayton Wiser

Hi @stem, In answer to your questions... - yes, the brown wire at the receiver is a link (I realised that pic might cause a bit of confusion as its not entirley clear) - yes, the other end of the yellow wire (B) is connected to terminal (2).

Removing wired thermostat for Drayton Wiser

Hi, I appreciate this question has been asked many times, but just needed to ensure what I’m doing before I go ahead is correct and run it by the experts. I put in a Honeywell TR6 unit with it’s corresponding receiver last year, but doesn’t have the flexibility I now require. i would like to...

Sleeved Brass Bolt – Garden Furniture

Hi tates, did you have any luck with the bolts? I was busy sprucing up my garden furniture last month and was a bit overzealous tightening one of the bolts on the arm and managed to snap one  I would be very interested to know if you have any spare. Thanks in advance
