I have already proved that the Sunvic Actuator is faulty as I had a multimeter on it last night and the SL stayed at 240v whatever the zone setting was.
Just wait for new one to arrive and will see if all startes to work as it should.
Thanks for help.
I have just looked at a wiring diagram on the internet that suggests it should lead be wired to the Hot Water Motorised valve (Sunvic) and in affect turn the valve off when hot water temp is reached?
Is this correct?
This may indeed be how it is currently wired, however as the micro...
As far as this post is concerned assume I have no thermostat fitted.
I would like to know should/can it be wired in series to the Hot Water valve SL return?
If not how else should it be wired in - are there any diagrams anywhere?
The pump goes off when the heating is up to temp as I have a programmable Heatmiser Thermostat which turns that zone off (and therefore the associated valve) when up to temp.
However the zone for the hot water controls the motorised valve which sends the SL high to the boiler. Nothing is in...
I have a Bosch Worcester System Boiler with two motorised valves for the water and heating zones.
Currently my boiler pump runs all the time when the programmer turns on the hot water zone even when the water is hot enough. This is because the motorised valve switch makes the circuit for the...
Well I tested as per method 2 and confirmed that the hot water Sunvic valve was faulty providing 240v permanently on the SL.
I have ordered a Sunvic SZ2301 actuator replacement for it and hopefully all will be ok in a few days.
Again thanks for the help.
petit_pablo - Superb - will go with method 2 I think. Will post results. Wife will post results of all goes horribly wrong
Great forum and most helpful.

Guys thanks for your excellent posts - they coincided with me finding diagram from installation manual of Programmer/timer which confirms that the Switche Live is controlle by Micro Switch in Valve which I think has probably gone faulty.
This looks more and more like a motorised valve issue...
In the pic shown it is the terminal block at the bottom that is the one in the boiler and I think it is the switched live (far left terminal) that is powered all the time currently which the engineer said should not be (I guess that must be correct as it says switches live!)
The manual that has...
I personally think it might be a valve problem because the exact same problem occurred on the old boiler since when:
The Boiler has been replaced
It has been re-wired
The Programmer has been replaced
How could I check this myself?
The heating is definitely not on all the time - I will check...
Ok - The Bosch Worester Engineer came out and said it was not a boiler fault.
He said that there was 240v permamntly on the Live Return to the boiler and this would make the boiler pump run all the time. He said this should be switched by the programmer/valves.
He thinks it probably is a...
