Building a rather large wall by side of the road

Trust me. There were five or so of them working on it. Nonetheless that’s beside the point isn’t it. I have posted this on a community forum and the local councillor has taken it upon himself to speak to planning. I will let you all know the outcome.

would the existing foundations have accommodated for that monstrosity to have been built on top of it? I wonder if a structural assessment has been carried out on it.

You couldnt be further from the truth but ok. If that wall collapses, there will be fatalities no doubt about it. The fact that it has been built without PP is the fundamental factor here. A friend of mine had to jump through hoops with PP to get a wall built dividing his garden with next door...

Building a rather large wall by side of the road

This is all sound advice and other then it being an eye sore on the main road, my concern is whether it is structurally stable and like you all said built in accordance to regs, planning permission, etc. I will try the council again tomorrow. I’m not being a jobs worth here at all, I think we...

Building a rather large wall by side of the road

I think your wall is fine, albeit long doesn't pose a risk to people below (Unless they are midgets). And also the structure that the wall is built on (as per my post) isnt exactly a straight run line, it's jagged and probably dates back over 100 years. It does look like a monstrosity, however...

Further to this, I doubt they go approval from the council and highly unlikely the council would have approved such a dangerous build.

Building a rather large wall by side of the road

Hi folks, I am concerned about a rather large brick wall that a resident has put up (he moved in in Summer). I have attached photos of what it looked like previously and what it looks like now. You will notice there is a bus stop which serves a number of schools and many people with kids wait...

    Electric underfloor heating tripping

Thanks for all the updates, like I said I am no electrician so will go buy whatever my electrician and you guys have said. I kept it on for 2 hours yesterday and it didn't trip and warmed up to 27 degrees. I have no intention on using this daily, even in winter. Even with the UFH off, the tiles...

    Electric underfloor heating tripping

It is connected via a Double Pole Fused Connection Unit with a connector type device where all the mat wires feed into. The figures I do not know about to be honest. The entire 60m2 is warming up.
