well as i said in the post i have all the materials and some are into new casings so may only need a trim of top or bottom and some into existing casings so may need a bit more trimming and all will need hinges and handles etc fitted, all i really would like to know is what any of the carpenters...

i have just had a look at my consumer unit and it says NSB32 on the trip labeled cooker, now i am sure they said 60amp for the hob, from what you have said i think i am ok, do you, thank you for your replies btw

I got a new ceramic hob from John Lewis and i cannot find anywhere on it or in the instructions what amp it is.
The electricians put in a 60 amp switched line for it to be connected to so i am wondering if i use 60amp cable and it's not a 60 amp unit will this cause any problems to the hob...

after discussions with the builder and him to electricians the price has dropped to £200, but they did add that other bonding was done ie all the new water pipes and ch pipes.
Sorry, i feel i missled you now with my post as i did...
just had another look and the original earth bondings are 1 to the gas m ain and 1 to the electric main coming up from the ground before the consumer unit, all 3 earth bonding cables go to a connection block on the board and then into the commsumer unit.

thank you for the very quick replies, we are near the end of an extension and have had lots of new sockets and lights etc and on the bill of quantities from the builder all the prices are broken down so i know how much each socket etc is costing me and thats how the cost of the bonding jumped of...
