Subject closed such a waste of time

Just wish to add...... the boiler does not have a room thermostat fitted. Anyone else around to comment would be appreciated Regards

HI elderly friend has a Protherm 80e in her flat.... it was serviced about 2 months ago . Visited her today and her central heating was switched off and her boiler ignited and the water came on very hot when she opens the tap . But what seemed strange to me was that the boiler switches on...

Totally confused now. What appeared to be an easy lamp change has developed into a battle of it has or it hasnt within the thread. Because i dont even know what a ballast ( of any sort) is i shall do the correct thing and obtain professional advice locally. Thanks for all your comments kp

Starter is not obvious, is it likely to be under the flush base fitting alongside the wiring etc ?
