    Waterproof garden bar roof

Just with it being uneven, I thought a flat base would allow the EPDM to adhere better. No additional weight to be added. I'd not considered fibreglass. I'll take a look. Thank you.

    Waterproof garden bar roof

Hi. I'd like to waterproof my 6x4 feet garden bar, as much as possible, starting with the roof. I'm thinking 11mm OSB3, with 2 to 3mm shrinkage expansion accounted for. Then applying EPDM adhesive and EPDM membrane, followed by drip edge trims. Is this the right approach, please? I've elevated...

Change hallway 2 gang switch for 1 gang and...

Hi. I plan to change the 2 gang light switch near the front door to 1. This is to stop people pressing the wrong one, which switches off the outside doorway PIR light. I would like a permanent live feed to the outside light. There is another 2 gang switch at the other end of the hallway which...

Strenghthen vertical decking posts for awning

Hi. I had composite decking installed 12 months ago, with 5 x 90mm x 90mm posts positioned, 1 in each corner and another centrally to the rear. The intention was to hang sails from these, but as this has proved unsuccessful, I'm now thinking to add 2/3 horizontal 90mm x 90mm beams of the...

Rubber corner guard needed for outdoor wall

Hi. Following our car being scratched by scraping the wall on entering the driveway, I'm looking for a 90 degree rubber wall protector, ideally transparent so it's not an eyesore, but perhaps with reflectors. Maybe, even black, or a shade of red brick. I've googled but can only find the black...

What to use to fill gaps in wooden garden bar roof, please?

In the absence of a photo momentarily, there are two square frames, separately covered with shiplap board. The frames are screwed together, leaving a slight gap between each. I intend to paint it with Ducksback, but want to fill the gap first.

What to use to fill gaps in wooden garden bar roof, please?

Thanks both. It's shiplap over two panels. As the wood between the panels isn't spot on, this leaves a slight gap. The shiplap itself should be fine, more the mid gap that needs filling, please.

What to use to fill gaps in wooden garden bar roof, please?

Hi. I've just put together a garden bar for the backgarden. Some slight gaps in the roof ship lap leading to light leaking, so I naturally thought silicone. However, after googling and going down the rabbit hole of what to use, I'm now more confused than ever. Can you advise on what would be...

Uneven patio slabs for new rabbit shed

Hi. Awaiting a shed for the kid's rabbits to place on an existing concrete slab patio; 11x6ft. It's on a slight slope and the slabs are uneven. As I am clueless with these sorts of things, I simply lifted the slabs, redistributed the soil to level and thought that would do. Naturally, two...

Indoor CCTV for parent with dementia

Thank you for your advice. No internet at all, but I can get that installed if needed. I'll skip the battery and go for mains powered. Any recommendations, please? Thanks again.
