There's no magical way of working out what make/model of tap it is? It's not got any obvious branding on it.

Obviously that has crossed my mind, but we're selling the house and am loathed to spend money we don't need to on it.

Is them falling apart a common problem? I've got a couple of decent plumb part suppliers nearby. Are you suggesting that I'm going to struggle getting a match locally then? I'm not sure I'll be able to convince my other half to live without a kitchen tap for days whilst waiting for a replacement.

My partner has a dripping mixer tap. Pretty sure it's the cold that's dripping. Would this just be a case of replacing the cartridge? I've no idea of the make/model of the tap, so is there any way of telling the type/length of cartridge required without opening it up first? Or is it going to be...

Thanks. Looking at it, if we were to get someone in to do it how much of the rendering would need to come off do you think. Can you just take off the patches where it has come away and re-render just those parts? I've never had it done, so have no idea.

Am selling house and have a problem with the rendering coming away from the wall in a position that is really obvious to anyone coming through the front gate to view the house. I can't afford to get someone in to re-do it, especially as we're moving out. I've attached pictures of the issue...

Hi. Does anyone know if this hinge type has a certain name, or even better where I could get one? I've tried googling it, but cannot find an example of it. The springs have snapped on both of them, so could do with replacements. Thanks.

Hi all, Finally got round to fitting the new O rings sent by Abode, greased with Silicon grease as suggested, but tap still weeping. Not sure what to try next. Even though the O rings are the correct ones, would it worth trying some different sized ones? Thanks, Larry.

Exact O rings ordered!! What are the chances of a large Wilkos having Silicon Grease? Just that I work next to one rather than having to drive out to Wickes. Thanks again.

Bought those, but I just could not get them to grip without slipping, so ended up taking a bit of a hammer to it and managed to get the collar loose. Next question is, should the swan neck come all the way out the tap? Cheers.
