I have a follow up question: are the actual sockets themselves that come bundled with these IP66 enclosures specific variants for outdoor use? Or in the MK case are they just a normal ("internal") Logic Plus socket pre-mounted in the outdoor-proof enclosure?
I've queried with Varilight about...
Thanks for the replies. Is this likely to be a compatibility thing across all manufacturers? Found this https://www.screwfix.com/p/contactum-ip66-weatherproof-outdoor-1-gang-enclosure-170mm-x-86mm-x-155mm/271rr which I could pair with a single smart socket.
I can use the current MK one elsewhere.
I have a couple in my garden and want to swap one for a smart WiFi socket.
Do the Masterseal enclosures have a completely standard housing, or are they custom for MK Logic Plus socket range?
Thanks
I don't currently have any power anywhere near the front door - or in the hallway at all. My house has ground floor wiring running through the ceiling then down the walls (concrete floor).
I'm likely to be replacing carpets upstairs next year so was going to take that opportunity to do whatever...
Hi
I have the battery version of Google's video doorbell. My house has never had a wired chime.
I don't particularly want a chiming chime either as have Google speakers for announcements.
So does such a thing exist that can be fed from a ring, mounted in a flush metal back box, that then...
yeah the ones I have were bought in 2015 when I last hired - so in my case a looooong time ago! And since I'm hiring, I don't want to be responsible for buggering a near £700 tool or keep going back and forth for the sake of £50 for a double pack of new gas!
I've just pulled out my leftover box of nails (is a handy pack with gas) as I'm redoing my deck frame. Noticed the box has an expiry (which I assume applies the gas). The date says JUN3018 which I assume is 30 June 2018 rather than 18 June 2030.
I'm hiring the actual nailer (IM350+).
Thanks for the replies.
I'm looking at sourcing materials from UK Timer, who do pre-cut Dried/Sawn British Larch/Douglas Fir Boards, max thickness is 38mm (which is 32mm if PAR - I'm not sure what 'look' to go for yet), but up to 200mm depth. I do like the idea of matching the beam depth to the...
I'm building a corner pergola. The span across the front will be up to 4.5m. Will likely go for 6x6 posts as prefer the chunkier look.
This is the sort of design I'm aiming for (mine will also be integrated into a deck):
Thanks
Anyone else considering this, check out Varilights vPro range of switches. They provide 'switch only' modules so OP could have got a 3-gang pre-made dimmer plate and swapped out 2 of the dimmer modules with switch only modules.
I just think it looks much nicer vs. having 2 separate switch...
