so you recon its safe for these wires to be connected up in a hoeywll type controller, only want it to come on and off auto instead of me going to and fro, thought that these wires may be live and needed to make sure these programmers are ok to take them

hmm, could employ a manual worker to control the wood so would these digital timer thingies be able to replace the 2 switches? and does anyone know if i could control just the pump from this

We have a oil / wood burning boiler in the garage that has 2 switches on the wall, 1 for the water pump and one to start up the boiler , I have seen some heating controls on plumbworld, could it be that these wires to the switches could be taken from these and wired into a programmable control...

We have a problem with our water boiler, in hangs in the garage with 2 hangers 4 bolts, one top one bottom, now ive been looking for a new one but the new one ive seen only have 1 hanger at the top, its a 150 litre tank, just worried thayt this thing might fall off, especially as im doing it...

My parents have just replaced their fire and back boiler, new back boiler and new living flame fire and marble hearth, dont know the details but know they just replaced old for new boiler, they had an old style fire before.

will look into the leccy, we sayed in a gite for a few nights and the owner (english) mentioned about builing regs and such, stayed more south of Brittany, in Deux Sevres, very scenic, nice countryside, seems a bit remote tho, everywhere is 30 mins to an hour, the supermarkets look good quality...

We have just been on a property hunt in France for the second time and wonder how many have taken the plunge, we rented a gite for a few days which really helped as the owners gave us lots of info, property is a hell of a lot cheaper.

cheers breezer for your info had a mess about, found 1 black and 1 red for the wall light, there are 4 reds and 3 blacks, i now have a black doing nothing and there are 3 reds at switch, i have a feeling the second switch is for the study light (as a second switch) and not the shower room wall...

3 reds 3 blacks - ceiling rose --------------------*------*------*--------*----*----*------*----* ---------------to bulb---blkx2---blk-------all 1 red-----red----to bulb now in block connectors 2x blk to bulb...

took all wires out of rose and put in block connectors, no arcing now and light works ok (as it did before attemting to fit new), it did flicker before and no fuses tripped, now i put 2 bloacks in one and one black in another and the new light isnt on would one of the reds go to this black do...

it only does it when there is a bulb in, the wiring is in good condition

fixed now, new therma-couple (?) fitted and informed of faulty control switch
