    Garage Conversion - Sanity Check

Thanks for the advice @^woody^, ordered the joists today and decided on one noggin as well, good suggestion on the struts, will try that if it feels bouncy. Floor void is so deep because the house is on a hill and the garage is on the low side of the plot. I have put a couple of air bricks in...

    Garage Conversion - Sanity Check

There is about 400mm from finished floor height to the original concrete slab, so plenty of room underneath. Modelled it on Sketchup earlier and 450 centres fits well in the length, so will go with that and add noggins or reinforce around the bathroom if needed.

    Spur Socket Kitchen

Been trying to decipher the legalities of whether I can do some minor electrical work in my kitchen and from what I understand, it seems that I can't. I am wanting another double socket, something that I wouldn't think twice about doing myself anywhere else in the house (aside from the...

    Drilling Diagonally

I am looking to spur off an existing socket to put in an additional double socket. I am fine with the electrical work but I am trying to work out how best to run the cable. The socket I will be taking the feed from is about 20cm from where I want to put the new socket, which would be on the...
