    Sterling 10 tamper alarm.

I am about to decorate my lounge and tried to remove the alarm code pad from the wall and the tamper alarm sounded. I entered the engineers code to stop it, but every time I try to remove the pad the alarm goes off again.! Does anyone know how to get around this? Or any ideas on what I can do?
