    actually, on reading the description more carefully, look like the bore size is 12.7mm........................so may look into oldbuffer's suggestion of 2 45deg turns.......will measure in the morning and see if it's doable....

    when you say attract, do you mean it could fall on the pipes rather than attract? i agree it could, but i thought pipes running under the bath were left exposed by default, this is the way the pipes have been installed for my bath by the plumber who did the job

    oh i had no idea that plastic was that recent! having had a look at the prices plastic does seem more expensive, what made you go for plastic? and is it generally easier to fit or is there not much difference?
