    Its best practice to fix as you go, I personally fix through the backs if solid or brackets as a last resort. Every 2nd to 3rd unit or as required, this will allow you to string them through and keep striaght! You can in theory just set them up and once the tops are on and screwed down...

    A few people have said this, I thought it would be more time consuming :\ but then again i've not done it before! I think I will end up doing the firings as the general concensus says it would be the best method!

    I know this has been asked a thousand and one times before... I've been asked to level an upstairs floor thats about and inch and a bit out of level diagonally across the floor. There are no obvious reasons why it is out of level it would just appear to be movement as it is an old pit...

    Screed to raise floor level before tiling?

    I would consider using 12mm cement board, bedded on rapid set tile adhesive with something like a 10 or 12mm notched trowel. Pop over to www.tilersforum.co.uk and check their, those guys know whats what!
