Ideas for boarding eaves of loft conversion.

We have a loft conversion in our 1930's house and the very bottoms of the eaves have cupboards in them for storage. These are deceptively large but the problem that we have is because the house is so old there is no lining under the tiles, the motor is deteriorating and there is a good amount...

Combi boiler, 3 radiators not getting hot

Ive been turning that black valve to top the boiler up when the pressure has been getting too low... so yes, it is turned off but its still connected to the mains supply... If I take it off water will go everywhere...

Combi boiler, 3 radiators not getting hot

The valve on the rad at the back of the front room is VERY stiff... There is another radiator in another downstairs room that has the same valve... When we first moved in I was turning this rad on/off to regulate heat and the carpet was getting wet around the valve... it doesnt appear to have...

Combi boiler, 3 radiators not getting hot

We have recently moved to a new property back in April. We have 3 radiators that dont produce any heat whatsoever, not even the pipes leading up to the radiators get hot in any way. There are 2 radiators in the conservatory and 1 at the back of the front room, these are all very near to each...

Honeywell T63660B 102B upgrade to Heatmiser PRT Wifi

I was going to ask about the lack of neutral, just checked at the boiler end and Neutral isn't connected there... so the earth really is an earth. (Ns terminal not connected) I can run more cable without too much hassle, also not a problem to flush mount a box either... I think I have...

Honeywell T63660B 102B upgrade to Heatmiser PRT Wifi

Chaps, finally managed to find the manual for the Heatmiser PRT... As far as I can tell the 3 wires I have are enough? The heatmiser has "volt free contacts", which is just a fancy way of saying that it has a relay in it... Running a wire link from L to A2 like in the diagram and then...

Honeywell T63660B 102B upgrade to Heatmiser PRT Wifi

Yes, the heatmiser wifi looks to be the dogs dangly bits. According to the boiler wiring diagram, I have Live, Neutral and Switched live... The neutral is wired into the earth socket on the Honeywell.

Honeywell T63660B 102B upgrade to Heatmiser PRT Wifi

Oh right, I see all these wires come from the boiler... switching off the boiler also cuts the power to the thermostat. Thanks for the link to the cheaper versio. I do still feel that I really want a wifi version that lets me tweak the settings without having to stand in the hallway...
