    Ridge length

Cheers for the reply. Due to the fact that the original roof is staying in place until the new one is cut, I am unable to fit the commons first as I don't want to damage the rooms below if it rains so, I've had to fit the hip rafters 1st. We are re-tiling the existing and new roof and there...

Thermal Store with mains pressure hot water (via coil)

Hi havent been on for a while.. Ive just completed a Labour only job for a customer using a Chelmer Eco Cat. Has anyone used these before? Just wondering if anyone knows how they are broken down inside? IE what does the Solar valve do etc? Is it just a 300l unvented cylinder with a...

Carrying out a Repair Without Draining System

How do you work that out? Turning rads off decreases water content and helps create a vacumn. Hopefully no water will be lost and thus no air lock

Carrying out a Repair Without Draining System

Electric freeze kits are good but tbh I'd just drain the system. Do you own a wet vac? If so you could bung the cold feed and expansion and have the wet vac at the rad while you do the swap. Used this method few times too

    underfloor heating

Tony you have pretty much said in your 1st post that it isn't worth doing unless he has weather comp. We both know that is aload of crap. What would you prefer a UFH circuit on a constant temp circuit or a rad? !!! UFH everytime for me. Even if UFH is on a WC circuit and weather change...

    underfloor heating

Tony by stats I'm referring to a cm907 for example. S plan would be so he can separate the two circuits. He doesnt need to weather comp the UFH at all. It will work perfectly fine blended down from a manifold. Plenty of systems working this way.

Condensing boilers - is trap cleaning part of service ?

It's 55mins for a service and 70 for a breakdown. In defence of BG engineers, there's no way in this land they can do a full service properly in that time plus remove a trap, especially on the isar/icos.. BITCH of a boiler!!!!

The OP is a joke. Hoe would the plumber be to blame and where is he getting 35k from? Walls won't need plastering at all and the brickwork will be fine. Really annoys me that!!!
