Do you remember how? I only had about an hour to programme it last weekend, but will be back there this weekend.
It seemed the zones (inputs) were defined and then it asked you which areas to assign them to. This made it easy to define an area where sensors are omitted (over night) but still...
Is it possible on this panel to change the zone type dependant on part set? i.e. Intruder on Area A, entry/exit on B?
Also I noticed my intruder zones are not immediately alarming if I trigger the entry PIR first, which seems a bit odd?
Thanks!
OK thanks. The manual isn't very clear. It makes it sound like it can be set to sound on mains fail, mains restore etc. Thankfully it doesn't.
All is working as it should be so I will now leave well alone :)
With the cover closed I can't see anything. It does seem to work fine though, strobe is a bit weak and intermittent but it is over ten years old. Still sounds and self actuates.
Alarm has been fine since sorting out this morning.
What's the difference between bell output intruder any and...
Hi mate
Tried the bell trigger directly to 0v on the battery. Worked.
Connected back up to panel and prodded the fuse a bit. That then works in siren test.
Tried setting the alarm. It now exit beeps properly. Entrance and immediate alarm works as expected too.
No idea what was causing it...
Just tried to test siren (on the basis I could cancel as soon as it pipped) and nothing.
Suspect there was no voltage between the hold off and the trigger but will try touching the bell trigger on 0v tomorrow.
Let's say it's because the panel isn't applying any voltage to the siren trigger but...
Yeah but I think I only just changed the endpoint output 3 before taking the picture and it said something very weird before. I think that might explain the strange thing happening when trying to set the alarm. As soon as I hit set alarm it starts sounding, cancel set and it stops almost...
I can't open the SAB as I don't have a set of long enough ladders to do so. It was sounding on full alarm before the panel change though and definitely using the same wires as before.
Should I not be able to detect a voltage between permanent hold off and bell trigger during the siren test as...
Here's the SAB wiring panel side. From my notes before
Red +12v hold
Black 0v hold
Green Tamper
Blue Strobe Trigger
Yellow Bell Trigger
This was as wired in the previous panel. Measuring direct on terminals between red and yellow during siren test get about half a volt, seems that is always...
Is that this? I can't promise that's what it had before.
Would that cause the immediate alarm when trying to set if it was wrong? I started the panel and defaulted it with code 2000.
Also confused as to why the bell test wouldn't sound the sounder.
Fitted the euromini today. Held the siren off using a battery for the majority of the install.
New panel works off mains and battery so that's a start but hit two odd issues.
On the test strobe and siren the siren does not activate. The strobe does. Measuring the voltage on the panel...
Thanks. I found the installation manual. Will probably take me an hour longer than the texacom unit because of having to move some trunking but that's fine.
Seems like a good unit for the price and I much prefer metal to brittle plastic.
Do you know if the texacom oddysey sirens on pulsing...
Wiring all the same? I want to minimise the amount of time I need to swap it over.
Texacom Oddysey SAB, Texacom PIRs I all want to reuse. Not using EOL as current panel doesn't support it.
The euro mini mounts vertical so would need to move some of the cabling there though shouldn't be too...
Thanks. Yes, took the fuse out the holder and checked with the multimeter, not just visually. There's continuity on it.
I cannot work out the zone 2 problem either. It's almost like it's a 24 hour point except it isn't and isn't engineering mode meant to hold that off too..?
I think I'm...
