    Thanks for your reply. So what exactely is the differance between single check and double, and where should you use each. Also is it part of water regs that you have to fit these and do you only fit them on the hot supply.

    preferabaly I want to stay under the roof height as the pipe is at the front of the house so by putting an external AAv on I would be ok as far as building regs go?? Thanks for any advice

    I am putting a new soil pipe externally and want to know does it need to go above the height of the roof with an open vent or can you put a durgo on and not have the pipe going all of the way above the roof height. A friend of mine told me that he thought durgos were only fitted internally...

    I want to take a couple of rads of for decorating and have turned both valves off. The rads have TRV`s fitted and I turned them all the way in the clockwise direction to 0 marked on the valve and the same with the opposite valve. When I went to undo the rads the TRV was obviously still...

    toilet problem

    2 stacks. They go up through the loft space to the roof. Another toilet is connected to the "problem stack" which has not been touched and is fine. I have checked and the water levels etc are not affected when you flush the other toilet so the stacks do not seem to be blocked or the vents above

    sorry to sound stupid but I do not quite understand where this vent should be. Although I have moved the toilet around a corner the previous toilet flusged fine. Sorry to sound like an idiot but any help I appreciate :oops:

    sorry should have said they are on different stacks and no the stack is not blocked as I did put an access point in and you can see the water running away at a good flow
