Hi MonkeyHunter - problem solved. After loads of replies on the forum, I received a simple answer using only 1 relay per circuit. Everything's to be mounted in the loft so it couldn't be easier (in theory). Thanks again, Nick

    3 way light switching.

Hi Bill, Thanks for that. It looks like that will work. I know it'll be a lot more work just to cover up some screw heads but I reckon it'll be worth it for the looks. It is a new installation so not as tricky as it might have been. I take your point about the isolation requirements for the...

    3 way light switching.

I'm still wondering, even if it's tricky, if anyone has a wiring diagram utilising relays that will enable me to use my 3 gang switches for three way switching of 3 different lighting circuits.

    3 way light switching.

Hi RF Lighting. They would all match but won't look like I want them to look. That's why I like the relay idea. The switches will look good and it'll all work.

    3 way light switching.

I've chosen Varilight's polished chrome screwless range. Thyey do 2-gang intermediate switches but to get a 3-gang would mean using a grid system. I was trying to avoid this as I wanted all 3 switches to look the same.

    3 way light switching.

Hi Sparkyspike, I must confess I don't know what a modular switch is. I'm thinking that I should be able to use the normal 3-gang switches as inputs to a relay configuration that would control the lights as a 3 way switching circuit.

    3 way light switching.

Hi, can anyone help me? I want to control 3 light circuits from 3 positions. I've got 2 3-gang switches, but can't get a 3-gang intermediate switch in the style I've chosen. I've now bought a 3rd 3-gang switch as I believe that relays can be used and am hoping someone will have a diagram for...

Thanks MonkeyHunter - that was a quick reply. I may end up doing that too, but I'm going to persevere a little longer for these relay drawings though I'm not holding out much hope.

Did you resolve your issue with 3 way switching? I too would like to use 3, 3 gang switches and have come to the conclusion that I'll probably have to use relays. I'd like wiring diagrams to wire up relays as intermediate switches. Can you help?
