are they a requirement on a new extension ?
the windows that had been fitted dont have them on and the BCO who came out last mentioned that they are needed ?

it was my first time at plasterboarding.
the pics are not the clearest but it does look quite good.
i have a plasterer coming so i will leave any gaps to fill to him.
if he has any issues with the gaps at the top i will put up some coving, the room is only 5m x 2m.

thanks for the reply i have aleady used the 9.5mm boards on the ceiling and walls and its gone on ok.
after reading around i have read that a lot use the thicker boards
well there was no need to spit your dummy out that way, i always thank all at the end of my threads on any forums as do others.

so with the side extension as long as its maximum height is no more than 4 metres and less than half the width of the house then i do not need planning permission ?
we rent a semi detached 2 bedroom house out the tennant is moving out this week so we want to build on the existing house and eventually move back in to it.
we want to remove the existing conservatory off the rear as it is a tad small and build a 4x3 metre one (next door have the same size)...
