I'm trying to connect the supplied 50mm combined waste/overflow for a Duravit bath, (see attached image) to my 42mm solvent weld waste pipework.
I don't what the diameter of the bath waste pipe before the 50mm end socket is and I'm not sure if the plastic is suitable for solvent weld.

Situation update: The original installer replaced the combination group valve after eventually responding to my texts and voicemails. For several days the replacement valve eliminated the banging noises even when hot water was drawn as the cylinder was being heated. All seemed good, but this...
Yes, I shared all the information about the installation that I've posted on this forum with Gledhill and they responded by asking me to get the installer to call them to discuss a couple of suggestions - something which is now proving troublesome since the plumber has stopped responding to my...
I contacted Gledhill and they confirmed the cylinder manufacturing date as the 12/06/2023 from the serial number - apparently although there are 13 digits in the serial number, the thirteenth number is a bar code check digit, (CRC).
The EV was installed end of June this year as part the new system install, so I don't think its aged, however on the other hand it could be faulty from new.
A quick question, would measuring the EV pre-charge pressure after a full heat cycle give the system static pressure before any hot tap is...
I followed your advice this morning and found that by cracking open the hot tap during the final stage of the heating period the EV only made a very small "click" noise. However, the EV still made quite a loud rattling/thud noise opening a hot tap shortly after heating period had finished.
Does...
The reason behind my inquiry is that I'm still getting a loud bang from the EV when opening a hot tap whilst the water is being heated and wondered if a larger EV would help eliminate the noise given the increase in effective hot water volume with a pumped secondary circuit, see attached video -...
Thanks for confirming my thoughts, however my installation is larger than the average property with 3 bathrooms so there likely to be a longer than 20m secondary hot water circuit.
