Sounds just as easy to do... suppose I can just leave the boards unfinished too? Or do they need to be taped and skimmed?? The weird thing is it is already skimmed in there... would that suggest this has already been done? Maybe I should make a couple of inspection 'holes' :)

Is it likely that the garage ceiling will have rock wool in it then? Under the bedroom floor???? Very confusing and opposing opinions on what to use/do... :(

Hi, Any suggestions on insulating a garage ceiling under a bedroom, the loft above the bedroom has plenty of insulation but the room is still quite cold... was thinking of fixing some of those foam panels used in walls to the garage ceiling somehow.. :?:

Apparently he is not getting planning permission as not needed..... So how do I 'stop' certain things?

This is the side where the window will be. If the building/extension is in line with his house - the guttering will overhang into my garden too - is this permitted as well??

By permitted development? Is less than a certain % so can be done without planning permission? Window looks to be 400mm high so would be 6ft and up - ish? Still seems odd to have window that low and looking into neighbours garden... May mention the fence option! :)

Jus got my final 2 quotes - one for £2800 (inc vat) for Worcester 37cdi but want 90% up front! Other is for Baxi Eco Tec 33kw - at £2600 (inc vat) Still more than the Vaillant...... Think that is my best option? :?
