Replacing Baxi Solo 2 with Combi via npower or northern gas?

Before you commit to ditching the existing boiler, some food for though here:

Without seeing your cylinder its difficult to say what needs doing, but £1000 for a cylinder change does seem steep.

Hmmm - kind of see where he is coming from...
But the existing sytem is terrible with hot water and efficiency - 2hrs+ to get tank of hot water...several people quoted £1000 to replace cylinder/tank - see here

And lowest quote is £2200 less £400 scrappage - £1800 and is cheaper to run, quick instant hot water and guaranteed for 5 yrs!

Sorry is Vaillant Eco Tec Plus 837 .... any opinions compared to Bosch 37cdi ?

Jus got my final 2 quotes - one for £2800 (inc vat) for Worcester 37cdi but want 90% up front!
Other is for Baxi Eco Tec 33kw - at £2600 (inc vat)
Still more than the Vaillant......

Think that is my best option?
