Can someone suggest an alternative to this Breakfast bar support

I'm looking to support my breakfast bar and was thinking that these are a great idea https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/218510776/t-brace-countertop-support-bracket?variation0=568125073 but I can't find anywhere in the UK that stocks them and they are pretty expensive. Anyone know of an alternative?

New build - does someone know what has caused this brick discolouration?

Thanks for the responses - the guttering is not overflowing even in the heaviest rain so I think this happened during the build as mentioned. Will see what the buildr says but their website actually says this isn't covered

Max weight limit on garage loft board out

I'm in the process of boarding out the garage roof space to add some extra storage. I've upgraded the joists to the correct dimension for the span but I'm just a little concerned on how much weight the walls will safely take as its a single skin brick with breeze block pillars halfway down and...

How to secure new joists in garage

Thanks Blup - I won't be putting any plasterboard up as its just for storage so I'm not sure if my explanation was clear? I'll just be putting chipboard flooring down screwed to the new joists which will be higher than the existing ones. I am planning to add a noggin in the middle (span is 2.75m...

How to secure new joists in garage

I want to install bigger joists in my new build garage so I can board it out. The existing joists are resting on a piece of 2x3" wood running the length of the brickwork, so should I rest the new joist on this? and if so how should I secure them to avoid twisting? Or should i use a joist...

What type of pendant can I use for a downlight lamp shade

The hole is at the bottom of the sketch (the sketch shows a cross section of the shade). So it looks like this when fitted to the ceiling

Thanks for the help, there is nothing on there that is suitable though. What I need is a bar that fits to the ceiling and hold the shade with bulb holders pointing upwards - image attached

What type of pendant can I use for a downlight lamp shade

I have bought this shade from amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00JJK57WI?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=od_aui_detailpages00 but it came with no fixings and I can't seem to find a pendant and rose that will enable me to hang it in the downlight style as in the picture i.e. the shade is like...
