    Replacement outdoor PIR

Manufacturer has advised there is no min load. The output from the OS001 is via a relay, it is on or off (on activation) and the relay contacts are rated to switch 225Watts of LED Load. So the half brightness state in auto mode remains a mystery.

    Replacement outdoor PIR

Hi all, I had a very old outdoor PIR (Smiths, no model number) connected an LED floodlight, which is also linked to a one way switch. The PIR seemed to have failed as the light only flashed on when it detected movement (no ability to adjust time on). I have got a Knightsbridge OS001 to replace...

    Nest Thermostat E / Ideal Independent c24

I have left it maybe 2-3 minutes. Mainly because I have had a Nest before and it normally kicks out almost instantly.

    Nest Thermostat E / Ideal Independent c24

Hi all, I have fitted a Nest Thermostat E and wired NO and C from the Heat Link to my Ideal Independent C24 as shown in the attached photo, having removed the jump (there was no previous room stat). I have switched the boiler to manual on. The heating continuously runs, even when I turn the...

    Extending BT socket

    Extending BT socket

A follow up question would be... by Master socket has one outlet into which a microfilter is plugged (tat the router is plugged into, phone empty as not used). Can I replicate this setup at the new slave socket? I'm thinking along the lines of, if i ever want to plug a phone in, will i be able...

    Extending BT socket

Found a kit on eBay, looks ok to me.... for anyone who might find useful, this link should work while the listing is active http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-Pair-CW1308-WHITE-15m-Telephone-Extension-Kit-2-3a-Socket-Tool-Instructions-/191751175319? Let's hope those instructions are idiot proof :)

    Extending BT socket

Awesome, thanks for responses all. So I just need some cable (will cat 6 work?), a slave socket and a krone tool? Anyone with a link to a decent wiring diagram would be useful. I've looked at many but cannot determine which is the best/definitely correct for my purposes :)

    Extending BT socket

I have read about this at length and am still none the wiser, so apologies if repeating myself... I am renovating a flat and would like to move the router to a central position (at 8m down the corridor) to get better coverage. I'd like to co-ordinate so that it happens when everything is upside...
