I've just started replacing an old metal fuse box in the garage for a modern RCD CU, however the feed from the house doesn't appear to have an earth cable (only 2 core) although it is SWA which is glanded off so I suspect that has been providing the earth.
I've checked the cable that feeds the...
Replaced the head, getting voltages as to be expected now but the valve is still passing heat all ways not matter what I have set (e.g. How water only, gives me CH and HW, same with CH only) so bottom half of valve also U/S by the sound of it :(
honeywell v4073a1039 is the make and model of the valve
I left it a while in both positions but I'll do another test before I resign myself to having to drain the system :(
Thanks for the explanation, I get that and suspected the head was knackered and have ordered a replacement (whole unit as it was no dearer)
I still can't understand with the head off whichever way i turn the valve manually heat is sent both ways even with only hot water on
Would that explain not getting power on orange for heating only?
Although, I'm pretty sure that's knackered but how is it that there is heating and hot water flowing when the valve is in either position?
Heating system not working unless hot water is on
Found buzzing from the 3 way valve, I've removed the top of it and the valve seems to move freely but not very far, see pics showing the valve movement, i seem to get hot water and heating whichever way it is so wondering if the valve itself is...
Thanks for taking time to reply
I've kind of resolved the issue, the vertical soil pipe coupler was able to be turned slightly to minimise the angle, I can resolve the issue with either the magic flex joint or a floplast adjustable bend as I only need an angle of less than 20 degrees
I'm...
I've moved my toilet to about 2 metres down the wall so have some internal work to do on the 110mm pipe
The existing pipe pops out into the bathroom in the wrong direction by 90 degrees to where the toilet is, I plan to put a 90 degree bend on it so it is pointing at the toilet side, but this...
Hi, my Honeywell Wiring Centre has come just off the wall, and there is a cable completely unattached but the central heating and hot water seems to be working ok, I'm looking for some reassurance that this cable isn't needed
As can be seen the only connections not made are heating valve but...
