    Underlay - much of a muchness or get what you pay for?

    Got my underlay from Screwfix if I remember correctly. Delivered within a couple of days, and bought enough for 3 rooms for the same price as one room at CarpetRight cost. Carpet fitter was happy to staple it down for me, took him all of 2 minutes! Definitely recommend gettting everything...

    How to reinstate a concrete hearth

    I'm trying to open up an old fireplace, but the original concrete hearth has been removed entirely. Can I use premixed concrete or do I need something like lime or vermiculite to cope with the heat? I've got a cast iron fireplace to put in, so the plan is for an open fire. Thanks
