    Lidl Parkside 20v batteries

I agree with the thrust of what you say, especially in relation to makers such as Bosch and Dewalt. However, in the case of Parkside tools, there are views that they may be made by Einhell who also, it is believed make tools for other outlets and names. A bit like badge engineering on many...

    Lidl Parkside 20v batteries

The thread regarding who makes Parkside tools sparked my interest whether other 20v tools use a battery with the same fitting? Some look similar, eg Worx, but only trying will prove one way or the other. Like Parkside, some are also marked X series. Any members know anything on this...

    SDS drill adapters

I am very grateful for the contributions. The problem is that a couple of 'adverts' say in terms that the adapter cannot be used in reverse, while the ones that must be ok, don't say they are ok! I will get one that has the 'locking' screw. In relation to JRB's note, I am a missionary from...

    SDS drill adapters

There are plenty of adapters enabling a conventional chuck to be fitted to an SDS drill. However, in some cases at least, there is a warning that you cannot use the drill in reverse, presumably because that would unscrew the chuck from the adapter. Is that always the case, or is it possible to...

Parkside tools are they any good?

It all depends on what you think you can best spend your time on. I can spend mine on better things!

Parkside tools are they any good?

Typically the mark-ups seem to be about 50% over the Lidl prices. Taking account of ebay and paypal commission - and the 'messing about', I'm not sure I would think it worth it, but some might! There certainly seem to be sellers on ebay that 'specialise' in finding new goods to resell...

Parkside tools are they any good?

Thanks for that Markyb555, but I was looking at the Lidl de parkside site identified by Mistral 55 in the posting of 3.5.17. There are quite a few new Parkside tools available on ebay, some sellers having multiple items. Unless these sellers are buying in mass when the tools are in the Lidl...

Parkside tools are they any good?

Mention is made that Parkside/Lidl are available online - but the only such site that I can find is in German. Is there an English version that enables purchases? Thank you.

new seat and washer for taps

Further to my posting, I was looking at 'how to' about dripping taps etc. One suggestion is to obtain a nylon seat with jumper and washer. Someone obviously believes that you can still get these!

new seat and washer for taps

You used to be able to buy these 'plastic' combinations, but, despite searching, I haven't been able to find any now. I fitted one to our kitchen cold tap over 10 years ago. We have terrific pressure and flow rate, yet it is still going strong. Have they really vanished?

central heating failure: ? diverter valve fault

I've replaced the head, and all is now well. (There were white marks on one of the micro switches - presumably arcing). The only problem was removing one of the retaining screws. The original installer had put the diverter valve assembly hard up against the wall. Just about impossible...

central heating failure: ? diverter valve fault

Thanks Mandate. I've now found the Honeywell instructions on the net. They say - When making a like for like replacement of the powerhead only, ensure that the Auto/Manual lever on both the installed and replacement heads is in the Manual position. Thanks for all the help. Mervyn

central heating failure: ? diverter valve fault

Thanks seco services. I've now undertaken the test. The grey is fine. No voltage on orange. I've got a new unit, but it will be tomorrow before I can fit the powerhead from it. The advice note refers to the position of the "arm/lever" when undertaking the changeover. I take it...

central heating failure: ? diverter valve fault

Thanks mandate. I will switch off the boiler completely. I'm still mystified why the heating "engineer" who called could conclude that the CH would not function without the HW also being switched-on. I thought I was going mad............ I questioned him several times but he remained...

central heating failure: ? diverter valve fault

Thanks seco services. I have a complete new diverter valve on the way. I thought to change just the power heads might be a good start? Mervyn
