Hi, can a gas pipe be laid in a channel in concrete floor and then concreted over? Gas supply to a new hob in kitchen is over the other side of room so need to get supply over there. I'm doing all the prep work before the plumber comes to put the pipes in. So just making sure before I chase...

Cheers, so if I borrow me mates megger tester, switch off circuit. Put tester to loop, test between live (incoming) and the block and get a reading of say 0.25 for example...i have an earth?

Hi, a friend of mine has had a new meter installed. The installer said to her you need an earth. When I looked at it there are no earth cables visible from the incoming supply casing to an earth block, nothing up to the up to the consumer unit or anything visible out to the gas/water pipes. On...

Hi..... I made a stupid mistake of dropping ash on an expensive print i recently bought. I tried to wipe it off and rubbed it into the paper :oops: It's not highly visible but the fact i know it's there is annoying me. Anybody have any ideas on how to remove it? Thanks in advance.

no disrespect but, are you a spark or plumber.....?? If you are a spark (or even a plumber and your doing this type of work)...should you not know the answer to your own question....pretty fundamental i think?

Make sure you know which is the switch cable and mark it up with some red sleeving or red insulation tape.
