    Apologies, the fact that we are discussing a boiler inlet vent appears to be the connection with plumbing and heating, and being my first post this is where I put it. There is obvoiusly a legal aspect to the problem too, thanks for pointing this out.

    If it is acceptable to duct the supply air to the boiler space within their kitchen from the end wall of the building, then maybe. The impression the gas fitter gave us was that it is not?
