    Weatherproofing and insulating existing shed

Another option I have considered would be to fit a weatherproof pvc UV resistant heavy duty tarp on two sides with it off the main cladding about an inch with a timber frame around the edge. I think I'd prefer this than either the bitumen or pvc corrugated sheet. Why of these options should...

    Weatherproofing and insulating existing shed

In answer to others... I won't be adding any heart source as it's only for occasional use. Can share wear a jumper!!! It's a pent shed with a recent overhang, so no guttering is fitted. Thanks!

    Weatherproofing and insulating existing shed

Cheers fur the advice! I'll apply that for the internal condition. Your suggestion is a bit over budget for me. I was considering just using either corrugated pvc cladding or even the bitumen. https://www.wickes.co.uk/Wickes-Mini-Profile-Corrugated-Sheet-660-x-2400mm/p/240170...

Shed insulation using celotex, cavity required?

Thanks for the additional advice, I understand a lot better now. Two of the sides of my shed are difficult to maintain and are actually out of view so I was thinking of covering these with corrugated pvc, EPDM or other such material to minimise water ingress. I think I'll go with a 50 or 60mm...

Shed insulation using celotex, cavity required?

Would it be advisable to inject a flexible sealant between T&G timbers that have shrunk a little as some do let in a little water. I don't know how else to remedy this.

Shed insulation using celotex, cavity required?

No, but missus wants to use it as a gym area with a spinning bike so I will need to ventilate. Re the sheet,I assume you mean on the inside of the outer wall between the framing hosts directly onto the cladding? Won't the foil backing of the celotex act as a moisture barrier? Off the celotex...

Shed insulation using celotex, cavity required?

Im looking to insulate my shed using celotex and just have a couple of questions in the hope of clearing up some contradictions I have discovered during research. My shed is pretty heavy duty, constructed out of 3x2 framing and 25mm T&G cladding. Ive read conflicting views about the...

    Issues with Western red cedar

Cheers for that... I've not seen any evidence of the black fruiting bodies but everything else sounds familiar. Wouldn't have thought my hedge was particularly dense either. So much for plant and pretty much forget! Really don't have the time or inclination to tend after plants... hard...

    Issues with Western red cedar

I have some concerns about some of these that I planted perhaps 2 years ago. Although they have grown about 18", they seem to be turning very brown and thinning. I'm wondering if it's simply because they are quite enclosed between the shed and wall and might not be greeting enough water? Or...
