Thanks, I'll give this a go when I get home. Is there any other things worth trying if that doesn't work? Could it be a case of bleeding all the radiators?, there's currently no heat in any of them when the boiler fires up.

This might be a stupid question, but how do you bleed the pump?, or are you talking about the whole sytem? Thanks.

yes, the pipes are hot on at least one side of the pump.
