Switch is good both NC and NO terminals good continuity, has a live feed coming in to common of switch and then a purple wire from NO goes into the plastic and into the body

no change at all the fridge thinks (imo) the door is closed. I am sure in the past when you opened the door light would come on and if the circulating fan at top of the fridge was running it would stop immediately. Now when we open the door if the fan is running it will continue running.

In central heating the boiler is absolutely fine.
When we run any hot water tap you hear a whining sound from the boiler much like water running through or past a blockage.
As you increase the flow on the tap it starts to cause a vibration in a pipe, I assume, which sounds like a drum...
