    Plumbers solution for inflexible pipes

Oldbuffer. Thank you for the information. Changing that tail looks like the best option. I'll wait until the end of this week to give my plumber chance to get back, and then will probably have a go. Great info...

    Plumbers solution for inflexible pipes

Thanks for your replies (oldbuffer amazingly detailed)! I photographed one of my existing TRVs and another radiator without any TRV and yes I can see what I am up against. The thread of the tail I bought is way too small for a start. Is there an adapter with no great length for union to...

    Plumbers solution for inflexible pipes

I have a couple of radiators with fixed valves, and I bought TRVs to fit on them. I have been let down by a couple of plumbers who I guess at this time of year are busy installing boilers! When I uncouple the pipe to the right what do I do if the pipe is inflexible? It feels solid but of course...

    UPVC window handle hook cam

We've managed to lose one of these (don't ask!). I searched all over including Google images and can't find one. Are they a standard object and where on Earth will we find one?

    Drayton Wiser system problem

I've not had a reply from support. I guess the factory reset is next. I'm pleased it's not mid winter!

    Drayton Wiser system problem

Not sure how to successfully video this problem, but I'm getting somewhere. I have the Drayton WiFi enabled. All my radiators have vanished from the app and radiator pairing doesn't work..

    Drayton Wiser system problem

Hi guys. My phone app is flagging up connection problems. When I press the reset button on the hub which controls the boiler no temporary network appears on my phone? The main non radiator thermostat is showing an animated WiFi symbol only. No temperature or other settings? Am I about to buy a...

Small leak following dual flush replacement.

Thanks Andy. Yes I have already ordered something very similar. The existing bolts rely entirely on the flimsy plastic bolt for pressure. There is no locking nut. I'm sure I can fix it now..

Small leak following dual flush replacement.

Thanks Terry yes I put a new donut washer in. There's a slight tilt to the right too so I wonder if it's not seated too well. I'll do the bolts first!

Small leak following dual flush replacement.

Hi I just wondered if I could have some advice from the more experienced. Everything went fine, but the bolt that secures the cistern to the toilet is leaking. Do I continue to tighten it up in the hope that it seals? Do I replace it with a metal one? Oddly the base of the nut is not flush with...

    Leaking radiator valve

No they all do. There is a slot. I read somewhere of a similar situation and they suggested that the installer thought the TRV could do the balancing.

    Leaking radiator valve

Yes every one is like that, and on the landing and the bathroom they are doubled up..

    Leaking radiator valve

Okay brilliant thanks. With these fittings you'd have to be very lucky in the average household not to have someone mess up all your hard work. So internally the mechanism is the same?
