    Best protection for hardwood table

Thanks JohnD, I’ll pass on your recommendations to the missus. If I suddenly stop replying to any future posts, it’s almost certainly due to a new patio appearing in the back garden (and me under it). I do like the idea of a glass top and I’ve used oil for oak for outdoor projects to good...

    Best protection for hardwood table

Thanks domdee for your reply, I had thought about a glass top - easy to clean and you still get to see the wood. The missus isn’t as keen... why? apparently ‘because’ is a perfectly legitimate response :ROFLMAO:

    Best protection for hardwood table

Hello, We have a hardwood dining room table (solid oak) which up till now has been covered by a practical, but not beautiful, plastic cover. We’d like to be able to have the table uncovered but it is bare untreated wood - we’re wondering what others have done and found to be both durable and...

    Shower screen nightmare...

Quick update... before I get round to deleting the entire post (as it’s a bit redundant now). Took the advice of my plumber and opted for a shower curtain. Despite my best attempts I can’t make the bath leak now :ROFLMAO: Fair to say I’m saddened at having to give up on the screen but my set up...

    Shower screen nightmare...

Thanks for the replies - I’ll try and get some pics of the set up and post them. No the bath isn’t sealed to the wall in itself. There’s never been any other leaks around the bath which may be just very good luck or superb tiling from my missus?!

    Shower screen nightmare...

Hello! I’m wondering if there’s anyone who’s managed to solve what’s becoming a major pain in the a$$... busy sprucing up the bathroom - painted, scraped out grout and renewed, new lino, new taps, toilet, mirrors, etc. Came across a fair amount of water damage caused by a leaking glass shower...
