Jason the main soil pipe outside is cast iron but the branch is plastic. It already has a turn in it, a piece of pipe stuck onto end which was used to connect into old WC. There is an option we could take the soil pipe outside closer to the new WC and then get a steeper slope on the pipe...

btw - measured soil pipe - it starts 14cm off the floor, the middle of the pipe is about 20cm and the top of the pipe is about 26cm.

ok here are the two layouts - soil pipe enters bathroom on back wall to left of window, right in bottom corner. With option 1 I would still need to curve soil pipe around to go into box under window so it would be visible unless I boxed in that corner too.
