after fitting a reconditioned heat exchanger to a ten year old greenstar 24ri we are still encountering problems with lack of heat in the radiators. the return pipe remains stone cold although plenty of heat to the flow pipe.. we are getting a chirping noise on the pump and the green burn light...

we have a open vented ten rad ten year old system run by a worcester greenstar 24ri. we replaced a failed pump to a system that was only managing a max of 4 rads luke warm. we have replaced 3 way switch and actuvator then we discovered the system was critically sludged up so removed and flushed...

just an update - took every rad off wall into he garden, flush out loads of sludge. Put them back put in the solution for a couple of weeks and bingo we are back on full working order - many thanks

ive changed the 3 way and actuator but there is no change. i have tried shutting all the rads off opening one nearest boiler first and then all subsequent ones individually. they all get hot evenutally from the top of radiator down and after several minutes the return pipe at the boiler gets...

there seems very little movement in the spindle, can you tell me how many degrees they roughly rotate?
