Hi. We’re fitting a new cooker and would like to add a cooker hood, there isn’t one at the moment. I’m just wondering if there’s any way the cooker hood can share a flue with the gas boiler so we wouldn’t have to put a new hole in the external wall. If not, I think there’s an old chimney behind...

Ah that’s a great idea, I can probably get most of it done with just the cistern removed - hadn’t thought of that. Never even heard of a donut seal so thanks for the pointer on that too. This is a learning experience

Hi all. I need to move our toilet out from the wall a few cm because we’re panelling behind it. The waste pipe comes out from the wall behind it and was just wondering - is there’s generally any give in the pipe or if we need to get a new one with an extra few cm on it? Sorry if it’s a daft...
