Before this turns into comedy hour let's try something else.
1. I know what causes damp.
2. I know heat & ventilation help.
3. I'm not after prevention but a solution to remove what has been caused & the best materials (as mentioned in the original post) ie paint etc to put it all right.

Hi
I have a problem with damp on a bathroom wall. It's an internal south facing wall so gets the brunt of Winter weather.
Can anyone suggest the best process, and materials needed to sort this problem ?
Finished, it will be painted again.
Thanks in advance.
Hello Everyone
I have a flat roof carport (currently with clear poly corrugated sheets) that butts up to a wooden garage with metal apex roof.
Any ideas as to how I can bridge the gap between the two to for a leak free join?
Thanks in advance

The old chestnut of fixing roofing felt following roof replacement.
Looking to stick and nail down the roofing felt but which adhesive to use.
Has anyone had good results with cartridge adhesives ie No Nails types
and if so what did you use?
i'm looking at using some Gripfill to stick the felt...
Looking for both application and product advice for converting 240v to 3 phase for my home workshop.
Will be running both a screw compressor and blast cabinet (hopefully) from my domestic 240v supply.
Have no information on what is required at present so looking forward for some sound words of...
Total novice at this so bear with me.
Have an area measuring 10m x 3.7m that i want to use for a workshop base (75mm deep).
On the ground is already a a mix of 30-40mm mix of what looks like flint chippings which has

Well, tried an identical pump and the fault is the same as at the start.
Set the pump to No.3 and shut down all upstairs rads but no difference,
even after 30 mins running on No.3
Open up upstairs rads and warm within minutes.
Anymore idea's out there?
Thanks for your replies people.
Going home now to check out this pump. Have a replacement one just in-case!
Do i need the pump under power when i remove the bleed screw? I'm assuming under power
but thought it best to check. If the pump is spinning/pumping what next?
Any pointers on changing...
My setup.
1. Radiators downstairs & upstairs
2. Hot water tank, header tank etc in loft
3. Gas boiler - old type, not an 'on-demand' type
My problem.
Upstairs getting hot but downstairs not except one that only get's slightly warm at the top, and i think this is only happening due to hot water...
Eureka! Hot water again. Don't we take this simple thing for granted?
Replaced the whole valve and actuator and working a treat.
Worked out that the 'floating' black wire does connect in with the orange from the actuator, and all the other wires between the old BT and new Drayton are like...

Just to correct you on your assumptions.
Valve spindle was badly corroded and more than likely broken in the process of freeing it up, which is exactly what i wrote earlier, so i'm sure everyone gathered that.
As to the old head - that was already broken when taken apart, again, as...
