    Door handle problem

You should be able to get a standard door mech (just with rollers) and fit it yourself, if your wanting to replace a mech with claws etc then you might struggle to fit it, this could require a lot of routing to the door and casing, also you would need new keeps. The best way is take the door...

fitting new upvc door and window

You only need a cill if the door requires one (drainage wise) Secure the cill to the door with screws 8 x 120’s OK

    Door handle problem

What is split the Plastic or the internal mech? If it’s the plastic I’d say you need a new door, if it’s the mech, you might be able to get a new backsett, if you can find one

    Conservatory glass roof

It should only be the plastics that contract and expand they cover the aluminium glazing bars. Also the glass in your roof should be toughened, laminated both, so you shouldn’t be concerned about falling glass.

Extending one of 2 double sockets (pic)

Perhaps I should have added that it’s going through a wall also. Oh and yes the former house owner buried speaker cables into the walls!! Apparently a ham radio enthusiast.

Extending one of 2 double sockets (pic)

Thanks for your quick reply Fred, I have two cables coming down the wall presumably a ring? What confused me was the cables connecting either socket, I assume this makes it a ring??? The two doubles in the pic are rarely used for anything but a lamp If I was to add a double socket spur...

Could someone please advise the best way to extend (5 feet) the right side double socket in pic. Is this looped? if so would I need to extend both wires to the extended socket? Thanks a humble Joiner
