I'm hoping to do some tiling in a bathroom, but the finish plaster has all come off leaving the original bonding coat, which is all in good condition, I'm wondering is it essential that the wall is skimmed, prior to fixing the tiles or is it sufficient to just apply a PVA Solution and then fix the tiles ? Any help would be appreciated.
