I guess I was hoping that someone had had a similar experience with pipes buried in screed that had ruptured and perhaps had some advice learnt from experience of a similar situation etc.
Any advice gratefully received.
A hot water supply pipe from a combi boiler to a bathroom has ruptured and is leaking water up through the screed and through my living room flooring.

Looking at knocking through a doorway into an adjoining room. walls are thick (about 2.5 feet of stone).

Try very tightly wrapping some electricians tape around the hole having tried to dry area as much as possible - will not solve the problem long term but certainly give you breathing space - worked for me on plumbers advice. Cheers
Slightly embarrassed to post this but having just bought a new rad would someone please advise how I remove the protective plugs safely so that I can fit lockshield/TRVs etc. They appear to have been oversprayed and have a large diamond shaped centre....Is there a special key ?

Looking at plumbing in a couple of new rads on a pressurised two pipe system. Would it be possible to freeze the 22mm flow/rtn pipes successfully without damaging system enabling me to cut pipes and plumb in new rads without draining system ?
