    outdoor electrics plan

Moderators - I'm not happy that you've removed my legitimate response to ban-all-sheds incorrect observations.... pasted below again... also when you've moved the posts to another thread, they clearly aren't in the same order as they were before I think you're taking things out of context in...

    are patio heaters ethically acceptable?

I think you're taking things out of context in poor transparent way to justify your inarticulate ramblings tbh........ You must, you absolutely must let us know apart for outdoor heaters what other electrical items you find morally repugnant so then every member on the forums knows in the...

    are patio heaters ethically acceptable?

abusive? I think you need to look back at your first post fella.... all I've done is respond to that by calling you an idiot. Is calling someone an idiot abusive? [edit] apologies, I meant your second post.

    outdoor electrics plan

by whom? I think you're getting confused, I came to the forum with an idea of what I wanted along with a plan/diagram, which as pointed out was incorrectly "designed". JohnW2 has kindly assisted and offered some constructive advice which looks correct. When I speak to the electricians, I'm...

    outdoor electrics plan

I know it's not a DIY job, that's never been suggested... however this is a DIY forum for seeking advice no?

    are patio heaters ethically acceptable?

I have yes, however this is an electrical section of a DIY forum... not green peace... and I was looking for electrical advice not a lecture from a self righteous eco idiot. That's subjective, but yes I heard that I won't be burning fuel just to heat up the outside, that would be...

    outdoor electrics plan

The garage CU is supplied by a 32 amp MCB off the main CU, with 4 or 6mm cable, but are right next to each other so easily upgradeable if needed. Will speak to the electrician about it all, but thanks for your help, is all a bit clearer now. cheers

    outdoor electrics plan

Yep makes sense. Have got a spare MCB on a separate garage CU which has RCD protection so can potentially use that with a 32amp MCB. If it ever trips like you've said, would then only take out the garage circuit rather than the circuits in the house. I've just taken a look and I think...

    outdoor electrics plan

Cheers for the helpful advice John. If it can only be a new radial circuit then that's what it will have to be, will see what the sparks say and will take a look at we can get a cable from the CU to where it needs to be.

    outdoor electrics plan

I'm not really looking for opinions on outdoor heating tbh... just looking for a way of achieving my requirements. What I've put on the drawing clearly doesn't work which is fair enough, so how can it be done? I know I could use a FCU unit on the ring for each outdoor heater and socket...

    outdoor electrics plan

Hi, I'm having some building work done over the next few weeks and want to take the opportunity to run some electrics to the back garden for the future... when I plan to build a pergola attached to the back of the house to create an undercover seating area. The electrical work will be done by...

    radiator location options

Cheers for the reply JohnD... There's probably not room for a trench without it having an impact on the look of the room as it's only a small area. Only position 2 and the wall with the doors on are external facing. Position 2 is an existing wall but is going to be insulated as part the...

    radiator location options

Cheers for the reply. A trench heater is a good idea, I'd never heard of them tbh, although have just looked and they seem quite expensive. I take it they can be connected to the existing radiators? do they have separate controls? What size would I need, the door opening is approx 2.3m...

    radiator location options

Hi, I'm just after a bit of advice on where to locate a radiator. I've attached a picture of the room plan with a few options. The room that contains the sofa is currently a conservatory, but is being taken down and an extension built in a couple of weeks. The dining room already...
