Hi,
I have a Ferroli F24 combi boiler, installed as part of a central heating system that was present when I purchased the property I live in. All is well except for the boiler shutting down the heating for three minutes after hot water is used, however briefly. I'm aware that this is 'normal...
Very many thanks to all replies. I'll paste up only two lengths at a time so I don't end up leaving them too long to soak. And I'll ensure that edges are well pasted. I may also use a lighter grade (1200); previous times I've lined rooms this problem hasn't occurred.
Thanks again!
Matt
Hi,
I just lined a room, approx 28sqm, and all the lengths have either shrunk to leave gaps or lifted along the edges. I'm going to redo it, but I want to establish where I went wrong first. Here's what I did:
-steam tripped all previous paper back to plaster;
-sized the walls with...
Hi,
I have an old Triton Brazilia electric shower installed, which I'm looking to replace. Before I start dismantling anything, does anyone have the installation instructions for the Brazilia? That way I can establish cable and pipe entry points etc. I tried with Triton but they don't seem to...
I'm replacing the plumbing in my kitchen (1904 tenement).
Currently the sink has a 32mm P trap running in to a plastic pipe, which in turn connects to the original lead trap before exiting into the original waste (which looks to be about 3.5inch diameter iron).
So I have two traps between...
I've been out of town the last few days. Looks like there was some blue touchpaper lighting going on! Hopefully it's all died down now...
ChrisR/Agile: I never got chance to do exhaustive tests with the resistor, only to observe the error lamps. I'll do some more thorough testing tomorrow...
Tony, I'm not sure whether the tone of your response is meant in jest or not, but I don't think it's appropriate. I can see I made a logical error regarding the type of fault that could cause frost operation, but this is a forum for discussion, not condescension.
Your test suggestions make...
Sorry, I should have been clearer in my earlier posts. The boiler's spurious frost protection operation is independent of any specific CH or DHW calls. Typically it occurs either when the boiler is otherwise idle (when it starts and stops spasmodically), or during normal CH operation (when the...
I measured the voltage across the CH temp sensor when cold: 4.33V DC. Placing a 27K (actually 26.61K) resistor across it had no effect.
I would expect the manual to mention if a part has two functions. In fact the boiler brochure (not the manual) does mention that frost protection is inbuilt...
