Thanks for the advice. Has anyone got any ideas on how to locate said diverter? I am a complete novice when it comes to boilers so should I call in British Gas or is it worth a stab myself?

Please excuse my naivety but I think I may have a motorised valve problem (having read a similar thread). I have a "Range Powermax 155" combi boiler, which was installed about 5 years ago in my "new build" flat. Since about a month now, I can only get hot water from the tap if the CH is on...
