I think they are screwed into a scrappy bit of wood. So I guess one cable is redundant and can be terminated? Absolutely will be earthing the new metal faceplate

I unscrewed an old plastic face plate to fit a new modern metal one and got more than I bargained for. There is no back box. And we have a 2 way switch when this switch could only ever control one light. I can’t work out where the second cable comes from. Can anyone advise me?

I want to redo the downstairs loo. I’m have zero plumbing skills but a lot of time and patience. what is going on with these pipes though? Why isn’t there a hot, cold and waste? Is there an extra cold pipe?

The tv only works when plugged into the aerial so I don’t think it’s WiFi. I’m fairly sure it’s not free sky as it’s the standard aerial coax connection that seems to work. We either have a hidden antenna in the loft that we cannot see, or the coax cable is acting as an aerial in itself.

ok, it’s not free sat then as we are using the normal coax for terrestrial freeview. Truly flummoxed
