The shower is useable but I feel it should be a bit more powerful...
Hi its a Bristan mixer, cost about £200 (blurb said it was suitable for combis). Its all a new install but wondering whether the pipework needs tweaking around a bit. Thanks
The shower is less than 5ft away from the boiler and mains entry so it could be very direct BTW
We have a decent thermo shower mixer and modern baxi combi in a single storey property. Water pressure is immense, taps are like water cannons on full blast.
The shower is a bit feeble though. The pipework is tee'd off the bath/basin taps which themselves run from the kitchen. Is this a...
We have a bungalow with a Baxi Combi Instant 80 HE and are about to fit a shower to the bathroom. Mains pressure seems good, mains pipe has just been replaced.
Got a few quick questions please...
If we run a thermo mixer from the boiler, will the shower go truly feeble when water is used...
Cheers that's really helpful.
Is Carronite worth £150 over a regular Carron bath? Its not going to be for showering as there will be a separate shower. I assume a normal Carron bath is encapsulated & generally decent?
Are Aqua Cabinets sink/units ok? Bit tricky to find one of those brand...
Had a nightmare with the bathroom in the last house- porcelain chips, seizing shower doors, leaky taps etc. Same story with car parts recently.
I've learnt my lesson and I'm trying to find decent stuff for the new bathroom.
Which makes are decent these days for toilets/shower...
Hi RCD tripped today and now the boiler won't work. I'm pretty sure there is a way to reset the boiler but I can't remember it and I've lost the manual!
Does anyone know how to do it!?
I think the boiler is ok, its usually very reliable.
Thanks
I've read the 'Myth' book (a good read even if you disgree with him) and a few of the usual textbooks. I'm open to the idea that RD can happen if the ground is very saturated and the mortar weakened old lime based stuff with equally soft bricks. Probably a very rare scenario.
Has there been...
I've had a gas fire removed and am thinking about putting in a wood burner..
The gas fire had a liner fitted which looks in good nick and not very dirty. I know these liners aren't tough enough to handle the heat from a stove. However, I measured it to be 7" wide, the stove should have a 5"...
There are a few lumpy bits of old cement that would make paving tricky, I guess I could smooth it out though.
I'm thinking along the lines of ripping it up at the weekend and getting a quote for a sub-base to be put in. Then I can just stick some decent stones on the top myself. Probably the...
