Wifi & zigbee inside a metal box

Theres not a good answer to this as it all depends on the use case. even simply fiiting a din rail mounted component in a fuse board/consumer unit poses issues with is it type tested, seperation between low voltage and extra low voltage etc... Just because it fits on a din rail doesnt mean its...

    Problems with SmartLife app

Very strange behaviour. I wonder if you could rename your hotspot to be the same ssid/password as your network turn off the EE hub, and then do the setup again... then turn off your hotspot and the EE hub back on and see if it connects.

    Problems with SmartLife app

As far as i recall, you hold the pairing button down for an extended period which should reset the socket. You previously mentioned the app said connect to the local device network, that would be the wifi the device is broadcasting, then once connected to that, the app updates the wifi the...

    Problems with SmartLife app

Does it present a wireless network for you to connect to? Have you tried to fully reset it and clear any existing wifi networks? Tried the Enerj app to see if that can pair?

    FTTP and ethernet

Unlikely a 32mm back box would be sufficient especially if your premoulded cat6 cable has a any strain relief. You can get angled rj45 jacks to help but I guess that depends on the direction your coming into the box from. Might need 47mm backbox to be safe.

    Standby for broadband failure

Vodafone boadband usually comes with a 4g backup dongle, other providers probably offer the same.

    Patch Cable Coupler?

What they have given you is a LC/APC-SC/APC Singlemode Fiber Optic Patch Cable, I think they expected you to terminate one end into the box on the side of your house and then the other end into the GPON. In your last pic the top connector is what goes into the fiber module inside you house and...

Central control for the house. Looking for ideas.

I have the evohome controller and even have the wall mount option (but never fitted it), The evo home controller rarely gets used and we usually just ask alexa to adjust the room if needed. I am not a big fan of the evohome screen, its a little sluggish and outdated now. But let me be clear the...

Do external hard drives come with windows 11 installed?

From my limited research it seems like this machine (or at least motherboard, intel® baytrail-d) is from around 2015 and does not support TPM 2.0 Now I am not 100% sure if this has a TPM header on the motherboard that you could add a chip too or not or whether it would be supported. There are...

Thanks, looks like an Asus logo there, do you see a model number anywhere on the case (sticker on the back perhaps?)
