thought id reply and tell you all I had it power flushed and now it works perfectly. water is nice and hot. i did also fit a flow reducer to the shower which must help a little. but the flush did it the world of good. flame stays on high now.

Correct if I turn the bath tap down it stays hot. The flow from the bath tap is around 9-10 litres a min on full flow.
The boiler is in the loft which prob doesn't help with the heat.
So is the hissing sound normal? Is it just a case of the water is too cold to warm up quick enough for...

when I use the hot water from the bathroom sink tap the boiler fires up on a full flame then stops, then starts again after a few seconds back on full flame. so its very on and off, it doesnt...
According to the boiler there is no error code when it goes colder. The boiler appeared to be on constantly while the hot water flows. Any ideas? We tried pressing the i button and no code came up.
The shower only has one dial. It turns on when you change the temp gauge so I can't change the temp without the shower being on? Unless I'm missing something
i tested a couple of things today.
downstairs kitchen tap went cold after 2 mins, i left it running barely warm for the next 4 mins and it never picked up again when i turned the tap off after 6 total mins. i then left it for a good 5 mins turned it back on and more hot water came through...
i turned the hot water up and it did seem to go up into the 60's on the boiler itself.
the programmer is a vaillant yes i can control the heating using it and it has a temp sensor. i never touch the "hot water, (pic of a tap)" side of it only the "radiator (pic of a radiator)" heating side...
