Its a single oven fitted unit, so no hob to contend with, thankfully. In a closed off cabinet so I just need to make sure the wiring is away from any hot areas.

Yes, thanks I`ve changed to 13amp plug not 30. Thought it was a bit too easy to be true, so best to check these things.

Hi All, I am looking to install a new oven in my property. My old oven was hard wired to the fusebox via a 30amp ring main but the new oven is filtted with a 13amp plug. Would it be safe/legal to fit a 30amp cooker socket to the wall and simply plug the new oven into this or are there any other...
