    Concealed cistern advice

I'm looking to install a concealed cistern and wall hung toilet in my utility bathroom and wanted to get some advice. It will be a framed cistern that attaches to a brick wall. I'm leaning towards getting a Grohe cistern as they have a good reputation but there are quite a few different models...

Dishwasher leaking from under the door

Update: replacing the lower spray arm worked and it's no longer leaking! Thanks @assuhors - would never have thought that would be the cause.

Dishwasher leaking from under the door

Good shout! This is the lower spray arm. I'll buy a replacement and see if that fixes the leak.

Dishwasher leaking from under the door

Doesn't appear to be overfilling or foaming and if you open the door mid-cycle the water is lower than the door opening. Oops! Should be visible now.

Dishwasher leaking from under the door

My integrated Lamona dishwasher has started leaking water from under the door. I changed the internal seals but it's made no difference. I removed the door to see if I could identify the cause but can't see anything obvious. Can anyone help?

Best way to apply brick acid to brickwork and hip tiles

Unfortunately it is that bad. Messy mortar on the hip tiles and white stuff all over the roof tiles. It's meant to be a brand new roof!

Best way to apply brick acid to brickwork and hip tiles

Will that hide the messy mortar though? It's a brand new roof but it doesn't look like it.

    Replacement for impulse flush

Having this issue too. What flush valve did people use to replace this? Also wondering if I could maybe just buy a new seal and that would work?

Best way to apply brick acid to brickwork and hip tiles

Even if I use a very small amount of brick acid directly applied to the worst bits? It's a bit of a state so I really need to tidy it up.

Best way to apply brick acid to brickwork and hip tiles

Thank you. That's not actually a bad thing re lightning the pointing - some bits have been repointed and the mortar is darker. Thank you. Re the roof tiles, would it do the same to the hip tiles? The mortar is really messy in places so I'd like to tidy it up. Thanks. Will need to be extra...

Best way to apply brick acid to brickwork and hip tiles

I've had a new extension built on my house and the builders have been a bit careless and some of the brickwork and hip tiles look a mess. There's mortar and white staining on some of the brickwork and the mortar on the hip tiles is a bit messy. I'm planning on buying some brick acid to try and...

    How to cover window openings

I'm renovating my house and am having three new windows, a bi-fold door and a back door. The openings are nearly ready but It's going to take about 6 weeks for the windows and doors to be manufactured, so in the meantime I want to cover them up to protect everything from the elements. What is...

    Delta T rating help

Thing is you can end up with huge radiators then. Need to find the right balance between the size of the radiator and what temperature you'd need to run the boiler at.

    Delta T rating help

Thank you. So if the delta depends on the target system temperature and new systems should be run at 50°, then the delta rating would be quite low as you have to take the average from the temperature of the water going into the radiator and coming out of the radiator minus 20° (the average room...

    Delta T rating help

I'm renovating my house and am having a new heating system installed. The plumbers are planning to install a Vaillant ecoFIT pure combi 30kw high efficiency combi boiler but I'm struggling to get an answer on what Delta T rating I should be looking at when choosing my radiators. I've asked a...
